Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask

Today I’m doing my first Lush review! How nuts is that? I’ve had this blog for two years (I know!!!) and I still haven’t reviewed any Lush products. I’m reviewing the brand new Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask. These jelly face masks just came out on Sept. 1, and I snagged one of them during my last visit in store. Find out what I think of the Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask down below!

Lush has introduced four new jelly face masks to their line up, and Bunny Moon is the one meant for sensitive and dry skin. The Lush website describes it as:

Everybunny’s a bit sensitive now and then, so if your skin’s feeling a bit tender or sore, treat it to this gentle, gold-dusted mask. Loads of soothing, syrupy honey lock moisture into skin, while rose, chamomile and vanilla relieve irritation and leave skin feeling balanced again. There, there: you’ll have calm, clear skin before long.

This face mask is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. It apparently is also known to reduce acne. If you’re familiar with Lush Shower Jellies, then you know the initial texture of the Jelly Face Masks. It jiggles in the tub, too! When you stick your fingers into the tub to grab some product, it feels like a typical clay face mask. The jelly almost melts onto the pads of your fingers.

It applies just like a regular Lush face mask. It’s easy to spread out, and you only need a small amount to cover your face.

To be honest, none of the face masks smell great right from the tub. They smell earthy, but like the ingredients had gone rancid. That’s how I felt about Bunny Moon at first. I didn’t get any of the rose, vanilla, chamomile or honey scents. But once I spread it onto my face, the awful smell went away and the rose and chamomile came out. It was really relaxing and soothing! I followed instructions and kept the mask on for 10 minutes.

It was a little difficult to remove the mask from my face. I had to scrub a little to get all of it off. I would recommend taking the mask off with a warm, damp washcloth.

My face afterwards felt moisturized, smooth and any redness in my face was gone. This did exactly what it said it would! It calmed down the redness and the honey left my skin feeling soft. I followed up with my regular morning moisturizer and my skin felt amazing.

I recommend Lush Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask to anyone with dry or sensitive skin. Anyone with oily skin may want to use this on any dry parts, but it may be too moisturizing for oily skin. This was worth it, and I’m excited to try the others!

You can purchase Lush Bunny Moon Face Mask at your local Lush store or online. It retails for $13.95.
