Remember when I said I wanted to use up a ton of stuff in November because I was moving? And thought I actually used up a lot? Well that does not compare to how much stuff I used up in December. It’s like everything ran out at the same time. I’m pretty proud of all the things that I used up in December. I’m trying to use what I have instead of just buy more things, and I think that plan is going well. Check out my December empties down below!
- LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub
I’ve had this lip scrub for far too long and it is way past its expiration date. It was time to just give it up. - LUSH Tooth Fairy Tooth Powder
My friend Kiku got this for me over the summer and only just last month did I use it up. And that was using it twice a day, too! The tooth powder has quickly become my favorite “toothpaste” of choice. It gets my teeth cleaner and mouth feeling fresher than any other traditional tooth paste has. And Tooth Fairy tasted delicious! I thought I wouldn’t be a huge fan because it wasn’t minty, but it still made my feel fresh. I already have another tooth powder in another flavor – this stuff is just that good! - Fortune Cookie Soap Wendy Bird Deodorant
Again, another old product way past its prime. Out it goes! - Fortune Cookie Soap Swankified Walnut Face Scrub
I used this up after holding onto it for so long. Great scrub, but I’m glad it’s gone! - LUSH Angels on Bare Skin
This will forever be one of my favorite scrubs. I used up a tub just last week and got a new one when my sister visited for Christmas. It was a sad, dark week without it, but I made it out ok. - Fortune Cookie Soap True Love Facial Cleansing Oil
I love that FCS tried something new, but it didn’t work out for me. I tried cleansing my face with this and noticed that not all my makeup was gone. My current cleanser cleanses my skin while getting all my makeup off, and with this I had to double cleanse. I ended up using this as a bath oil! It worked pretty well for that!
- Beauty Secret’s Pure Acetone
I use pure acetone for nail stamping and to clean up around my cuticles. It took me over six months to get through this bottle, but I finally did it. - KB Shimmer Cuticle Oil in Chai Tea
This was a great cuticle oil! I bought this over the summer but it lasted me way into the fall. The smell was heavenly. And the brush on this was incredibly soft. I’m looking forward to trying some other scents from KB Shimmer! - Beauty 360 Nail Polish Remover
Just a basic nail polish remover. It does its job. - Glisten & Glow HK Girl Quick Drying Top Coat
This is my absolute favorite top coat of all time. It dries my nail polish so quickly, it’s super shiny and makes my manicure lasts. This bottle was getting low and a little goopy. Now onto my fifth (or is it sixth?) bottle!
- Fortune Cookie Soap Sweeties Fortune Cookie Soap
This didn’t smell as much like cherry cough syrup as I originally thought. It’s pretty sweet! And after using it a few times, I realized it’s translucent. So cool! - LUSH Twilight Bath Bomb
This is one of the first products I tried back in 2011! This smells dreamy and helps me get to sleep. Love this one! - LUSH Floating Island Luxury Bath Oil
Floating Island has always been of my favorites. I didn’t know that they reformulated the bath melts and renamed them bath oils, but at least the product is the same. This made my bath so soft and smell so heavenly. - Fortune Cookie Soap Twisted Tea Party Bath Tea
My sister was going through her old boxes and she gave me her old bath tea. The bath teas didn’t really do much for me besides make the water smell good. - Fortune Cookie Soap Off With Their Heads Bath Bomb
Again, another from my sister’s old FCS box. And again, it just made the water smell good.
- Maybelline MasterFix Setting Spray
This works just as same as the L’oreal setting spray but is almost $8 cheaper near me. This is my go-to drugstore setting spray and I recently bought another bottle to replace this one. - Simple Eye Make-up Remover
What I loved about this remover is that it wasn’t a bi-phase, which meant that I didn’t have to shake it. I’m pretty upset that this is done. Simple phased out this formula and introduced a bi-phase formula that I’m not a huge fan of. Hopefully I can find something to replace it. - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
This was dried up. It was time to go. - CareOne Cotton Rounds
Just a basic pack of cotton rounds.
And last there is a December monthly sampler from LadybugzDesignz. Now that I’m moving to the vertical from the horizontal I’m trying to use up these samplers. One down, only like, ten to go?
And that’s it for my December empties! I truly used up a ton this month and I’m so glad that I did. I’m not trying to live a ~minimal~ lifestyle, but I’m trying to reduce the duplicates that I buy. Instead of owning three black eyeliners, why don’t I use them up and buy a new one when I need it? That’s my new outlook and I’m trying to keep to that as best I can. It can be tough sometimes, but it’s a journey and I’m trying.
What were your December empties? Let me know down below!
