It’s a sad day, everyone. While 2017 means I get to plan in a new planner, it also means that this was the last spread in my Erin Condren horizontal. When I got this planner in 2015 I thought 2016 was so far away. But here we are at the beginning of 2017. As the last spread in this planner before I start the vertical, I knew I had to create a spread I was proud of. I’m happy to say that I love this last spread! Find out what stickers I used down below.
The last week in 2016 was filled with a ton of exciting events.
On Monday, Addie and I saw La La Land. I hadn’t been to the movies in months so it was nice to finally go to the movie theatre. This was the first one I had been to in Rhode Island, too! The theater was huge but they still had those uncomfortable fold down seats. Thankfully we were able to find good seats even though the theater was packed!
La La Land was fantastic. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are my favorite movie pairing, so seeing them together again was a treat. I know that Emma and Ryan aren’t singers so I wasn’t expecting much from the singing. However, the singing was at a whisper (except Emma’s last song which was amazing.) I wish their singing was a bit stronger. Other than that this move was one of the best I’ve seen in a while and I will see it again in a heartbeat.
On Wednesday I finally got to the gym after almost a week of not going. I was happy to be back on the equipment.
Friday was exciting because it was the first paycheck from my grown-up adult job! It was such a fulfilling feeling to see that direct deposit in my account. That was the first of two milestone moments this week.
The second came on New Year’s Eve when I came home from work to find my new car in the garage! (Also note how I spelt Toyota Corolla wrong.) I totally missed it when I came home, though. I was driving my mom’s car and usually I pull it into the garage. When I opened the garage I noticed a strange car but didn’t really think anything of it. I then got into the house, started complaining about the rude customer who kept me 15 minutes past close, and that’s when I realized that the car was mine.
I wasn’t expecting a car at all and it was such a great way to end the year. I still have the register the car, get my plates and get a E-Z Pass so that I can get to work, but hopefully I should be able to start driving it this week! It still doesn’t feel like I have a car all of my own, but maybe when I start driving it it will start to feel real!

And that wraps up 2016! 2016 went by so quickly; who knows how fast 2017 will fly by! What was your favorite moment of the year? Mine was graduating college. That will forever be my greatest achievement. I’m so damn proud of myself.
