On the heels of my Fall Lip Picks post I thought I would also share my favorite nail polishes for fall. Most of them are new favorites, but I do have some oldies in here too. Read about them below!
I’ll be talking about these polishes from left to right. And I’m sorry but I don’t have swatches! That would have probably been useful for this post.
- KB Shimmer Open Toad Shoes
So apparently this polish is being discontinued, but I highly suggest seeking this one out. This is a perfect light olive green that has yellow, blue and purple glitter in it. I thought this would look too muddy or dirty on my nails, but this looks so dope! It definitely reminds me of a toad. I would say 2-3 coats to get it opaque, depending on how thick your coats are. I usually use two. - China Glaze Jitterbug
This polish has been in my collection for years. This is a beautiful steel gray metallic polish. It’s not too light to pass as a silver and not too dark to be a black. It shimmers really nicely in the sun and is perfectly opaque in two coats. - OPI Suzi – The First Lady of Nails
I don’t usually wear a ton of green (unless there’s sparkle in it like Open Toad Shoes,) but this one called out to me. The army green color is perfect for fall and pairs well with a lot of wardrobe. I did a mani a while back with gold glitter on top and I was taken aback at how cool it looked. I was also worried this would look too dark and be mistaken for black, but it’s just light enough to still look green. This is opaque in two coats. - Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Jungle Gem
My friend lent me this polish to use before we went to a concert and I immediately fell in love. This dark peacock blue is so perfect for fall! I love how dark it is. I love teals and this is definitely not an exception. This is opaque in two coats, but I would let the first coat dry completely. This streaks easily if the first coat isn’t dry. - OPI Yank My Doodle
The name of this polish should be an indicator of how wonderful this polish is. It looks like fall leaves to me. Usually I stray away from oranges, but this one has enough red in it and is dark enough to look normal on my skin tone. Pair this with some brown or yellow nail art and it truly is the perfect pumpkin/fall leaf color. This is opaque in two coats.
And those are my favorite polishes for fall! What are your favorites? Usually I like reds, but I’m realizing more that I like them in the winter.
