Fall Lip Picks

Fall Lip Picks | The Rebel Planner

I was looking through old posts and noticed that I did a post in the spring about my favorite lipsticks for that season. I then realized I didn’t do one for summer. So I’m bringing back this series with a post all about my favorite fall lipsticks!

Starting from left to right:

  1. MAC Diva
This is one of my favorite vampy reds for fall. While bright reds are always a staple in any makeup bag, I lean towards my darker reds in the fall. Diva is dark enough to look great on all skin tones and the undertones are fairly neutral.
  2. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Lust for Blush
When these Maybelline matte lipsticks came out a few years ago, everyone went nuts over this color. And there’s a reason why! This is a beautiful blush tone that looks great everyday. It’s also a little deeper than typical blush lipsticks, and that’s why I wear this one a lot in fall. This look awesome paired with maroon shirts, dresses or jackets.
  3. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen
I was never a fan of the Soft Matte Lip Creams, but when my friend Kiku gifted me this color, I tried it on again and fell in love. The formula must had changed because this isn’t as drying as it used to be. This is is such a perfect berry-toned red that looks gorgeous at night. While the Soft Matte Lip Cream formula isn’t like a typical liquid lipstick, this does dry down to a comfortable matte feeling.
  4. MAC Rebel
When I think fall, I think MAC Rebel. There’s something very iconic about this shade to me. Purples are my favorite for winter, but this berry shade is a perfect transition between the two seasons. The formula is perfection and forgiving because the lipstick is a bit sheer. Pat it on for a subtle stain or swipe it on for a vampy lip. If you want just one bold, dark lipstick for fall, this is the one I suggest splurging on.
  5. Limecrime Velvetine in Black Velvet
And what would a fall lipstick guide be without a black lipstick? I bought this color years ago and was too scared to wear it, but now that drugstore brands like Maybelline are coming out with black, blue and white lipsticks, I don’t feel strange wearing this one anymore. This color is incredibly striking and look perfect with a sheer foundation and a simple winged liner. It’s a bold look, but fall is all about turning a new leaf, taking risks and trying something new.
