It’s summer which means bright and neon nails! I haven’t done much nail art this summer, so I decided to have some fun with this blue and purple gradient with gold stamping!
To start off the gradient, I applied two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. I applied a quick dry top coat and let it dry for 10 minutes.
For the gradient, I used China Glaze Plur-Ple and UV Meant to Be. I had to do three coats to get it opaque. My gradient skills still aren’t perfect, but I’m getting a lot better than where I was when I started! Practice does make perfect.
The stamping plate I used was Bundle Monster BM-XL201, the same I used in my heart gradient #NOTD. This plate has everything for my moods. Hearts for when I want to be cute, stripes and Xs for when I want to be bold and edgy. I used ORLY Luxe to do the stamping. At first I was going to do white for the stamping, but I wanted a bit of bling and wanted to test out more of my polishes for stamping. It wasn’t the most opaque, but it worked. I only stamped my ring and thumb nails. I’ve never really done stamping accent nails, so this was a little different.
My stamper for this mani was the MoYou London Kaleidoscopic clear jelly stamper. A MoYou London stand recently opened at my mall and when I saw that they had the clear jelly stamper, I lost my mind. I’ve been wanting one of those for the longest time! It made making the stamping centered and lined up so simple.
The look needed something else, so I placed a gold square stud on my middle finger.
This was a lot of fun to create! It took a while, but I love the way it came out. Gradients aren’t something I’ll do every week, but every once in a while they’re so fun and different.
What are you wearing on your nails this week? Let me know down below!
Such a pretty gradient! I have tried so many times…and failed so many times. Lol! I love your choice of colors!
Thank you so much! It has taken many gradients to get to this point and I still don’t think they are perfect.
