A Week in My Erin Condren | The Rebel Planner

So this is it: this is the week that I graduated from college and said goodbye to my home of four years. But to celebrate all the hard work, a senior week was planned with fun events. But of course this was a hard week to plan. But I think I did a good job at creating a spread that I’ll look back on and love.

It’s hard to sum up the past four years of college, so I’m not going to attempt it. I’m just going to talk about this week and try not to let myself get all sappy!

On Monday, my friend and I got our nails done and decorated our graduation caps. It was the fanciest nail salon I had ever been to and I was happy to see that they used brand new tools for each and every person. Why didn’t I know about this salon sooner? And my friend brought me to Smoothie King for the first time and I am in love. She’s frequents Smoothie King so much that she has a loyalty card so I know that it has to be good, but dang, I was blown away by the peach smoothie I got. Thankfully there’s one near me at home, so I know where I’ll be after my workouts!

I had dinner with two of my friends on Wednesday and we went to this delicious Mexican restaurant. It was nice to catch up with them one final time before graduation. Although I’ll be back at my college in September for a concert, the dinner was a nice little ribbon on some friendships.

Thursday was a brewery tour as part of senior week and I’m glad I went. While the beer was just meh, the cider they had was absolutely delicious. And the food was good too! It was interesting and nice to catch up with people I haven’t spoken to since freshman year and gather one last time for a drink.

Friday a friend and I went to drop off extra newspapers from the year to a animal shelter. We got to play with puppies and kitties and I am so thankful for that opportunity. The sad part was that I fell in love with a dog and I want to take her home. Maybe in September when I come back?

Then Saturday was the big day. I graduated at Madison Square Garden and the ceremony went really quick and smoothly. My family and I went to Carmine’s for dinner, ordered way too much food and I’m sure we will be eating leftovers until Wednesday. My sister and her boyfriend took me out to a bunch of different bars and I’m glad we got to do that together. I’ve been 21 for a year now and I still hadn’t gone to a bar with my sister. I’m looking forward to visiting her in July.

Sunday was the last time I could say I lived at school. We packed up in about two hours and got home in 25 minutes. The move went smoothly though. Nothing broke or got totally crushed and I was surprised to see that my dad was able to fit all of my stuff into his car PLUS me, my boyfriend and him. Some things really amaze me and that was one of them.
