L'Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray Overview | The Rebel Planner

Since I’ve been growing my hair out from a pixie cut, I’ve been dreading the day that I would have to start flat ironing my hair. I have been maintaining them with the product whose review I read on https://www.gshs.org. I haven’t flat ironed my hair since freshman year of high school and I had no desire to go back to hours spent flat ironing my hair and mending dead ends. Most of you know that styling your hair is one of the key essentials in looking gorgeous, which is when I went with the L’Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heat Spray. And also because since it was on sale, it cost me quite less. Want to know how it worked out for me? Read more!

The L’Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray is a heat protector used before flat ironing your hair. It protects your hair from heat from the iron and makes your hair shiny, and makes your coiffeur one among the most cool hairstyles. This one from L’Oreal protects up to 450 degrees. Isn’t that nuts? I don’t even know of any flat irons that get that hot. I like that this protects even up that high of a temperature.

L'Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray Nozzle | The Rebel Planner

The spray comes with a nozzle that can be sprayed upside down and at all angles. That makes it really easy to reach the back of my head. The nozzle also has a lock and unlock button.

The directions suggest to apply on damp or dry hair section by section as you use the hot tool, so that’s what I did. I sprayed about 4-6 sprays on each side of my head and combed through. I then went in with the iron. I noticed that my hair wasn’t looking as fried as I remembered my hair did when I flat ironed it in high school. My hair looked sleek, shiny and perfectly straight. The “3-day sleek” protection is somewhat true. My hair did stay straight on the second and third day, but I did have to touch up some areas. This also smells really nice, like that high-end salon shampoo scent.

What I found strange about this product is that is made my hair so sticky! It doesn’t matter how little or how much apply, my hair always ends up a bit sticky. After the product dried and I combed out the sections, the hair did get less sticky, but it was frustrating to work with. It also made my floor extremely slippery. I wouldn’t spray this while standing on un-carpeted areas. I slipped and fell because this product was so slippery!

Overall, I think that this product does what it does perfectly. It protects against heat damage and makes my hair shiny and sleek. Although it makes my floors slippery, I will deal with it. If you’re looking for a new heatspray, this is a good option.
