It’s been a while, hasn’t it? My weekly spreads haven’t been so exciting and to be honest, my drive to do pretty spreads wavered a bit the past few weeks. I still planned each week, but I felt like I wasn’t truly enjoying it. But with a new month brings a new color, and with a new color means some interesting spreads!
This week was the week I realized I’m going to be busy as hell until finals end. I have too many papers to write and not enough hours in the day to write them. But thanks to my planner, I have it somewhat under control. That’s what I really loved about having a big, decorative planner this year. My time management skills have gotten much better throughout the past few months and I have a better drive to not only complete tasks, but the complete them earlier in the day. I’m becoming more and more a morning person. I find I get my best work done during the day and after 8 pm, my brain doesn’t function the same.
The interesting thing I did this week was use the monthly colors together. I’ve always been a monochromatic planner and did not like mixing colors together. But since there was only one day of May in this spread, I felt like that monochromatic planning style would look strange. I decided to mix the colors together and I love the way it looks. I think I may become a more colorful planner! Isn’t that crazy? I have some interesting plans for next week for color mixed with that washi I used to cover up the top triangles.
I also did a bit more decorative planning this week. I’m not a fan of no white space planning, but I like when stickers and writing cover up a good portion of the daily space. I think I may implement more decorative stickers in the future.
