March Favorites | The Rebel Planner

March was the month of nail polish for me. Nail art goes in phases for me, but March was the month of nail art and trying new nail polish. But thankfully this month was also the month of trying new and exciting products and falling in love with an old favorite. Find my loves for the month down below!

  1. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
This foundation has been praised time and time again by YouTubers and bloggers. While I like more dewey foundations, when perusing the drugstore, my mom really liked the color of this foundation, so I bought it. I’m really glad she chose this one! The color is really spot on and is only the ever-so-slightest too dark. If I blend it well enough along my jawline, you can hardly tell the difference. This stays matte all day and lasts on my skin all day. No touch ups for oil or to clean up splotchy areas. It also doesn’t settle into my lines! That makes me incredibly happy since foundations always seem to settle into my smile lines. The only thing I don’t like is that it can look very cakey if applied more than one hour after applying moisturizer. You have to have moisturized skin for this foundation to look nice. I suggest applying moisturizer before you apply this, even if you moisturized earlier in the day.
  2. Tarte Tartest Lip Paint in Namaste
I received this liquid lipstick in a nude lipstick sampler from Sephora and wasn’t too interested at first. It seemed too nude for me. And while this nude is a little too brown-based for my likings, I love the formula and want to try more. It has that mouse texture (think NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams,) but has the lasting power of a traditional liquid lipstick without the dryness. I’ll take that! I hope Tarte expands the colors to include a pink-based nude.
  3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I tried this mascara last year and fell in love but never bought it again. I was convinced that there was a drugstore mascara out there that would give me the safe effect. I was way, way wrong. This mascara holds a curl better and longer than any other mascara, and it makes my lashes look so lush. I have to buy a full-sized tube of this soon!
  4. Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover
I’ve used a different cuticle remover for over five years now and while it still worked, keeping something around for that long doesn’t seem sanitary. I heard good things about this cuticle remover and decided to try it out. It works really well! My cuticles remove easily from my nail plate and don’t dry out the skin around my nail. It also removes them really quickly! I kept this on for 30 seconds and it took off any cuticle growth. I’m not a huge fan of Sally Hansen, but this cuticle remover is making me rethink my position on the brand.
  5. Deborah Lippmann Sweets for My Sweet Nail Polish Set
This set from Deborah Lippmann comes with six mini nail polishes with a rainbow of pastels. A lot of bloggers and YouTubers didn’t like this set because the colors are tricky to apply and streaky. However, I disagree. This review from Lacquered Lori reflects my views perfectly. I’ll add that these are the brightest pastel nail polishes I’ve ever seen. They are so white-based and pastel like. I can’t stop wearing these, and you can see a nail art I did with these here.

I totally loved them! Intense cremes are not always for the faint of heart or beginners. But I’d recommend the Deborah Lippmann cremes, especially the Sweets for My Sweet set to anyone! Thanks for reading 🙂

    Great share.

Would you be ok if I hinted (in a good way) at this post on my Dutch blog? I would definitely give you all due credit for your work – no question about it.
