Easter is on Sunday which means bunnies and chicks galore! While my house will be filled with chocolate and dyed eggs, my nails can share the pastel spirit, too. See more photos below!
This is probably the best freehand nail art I’ve ever done. I’m not too great at freehand since my hands get very shaky. However, I’ve learned some trick that make it easier, like resting my hands on the finger that I am painting. That eliminates the shaking. Also bringing the nails closer to your face rather than resting them on the table helps a lot, too. That’s how I got the eyes to turn out so nice!
The pastel base colors are from the Deborah Lippmann Sweets for my Sweet set. I used Lemon Drop (yellow,) My Boy Lollipop (blue,) and Candy Girl (pink.) The white is OPI Alpine Snow. The black is China Glaze Leather. The carrots are OPI Where Did Suzi’s Man-go? The green on the carrots is OPI Jade is the New Black. The pink inside the bunny’s ears is Candy Girl.
To create the details, I used a dotting tool. It was really simple! I found it’s easier to create dots at the points and then create the lines. To fill in the bunny’s head, I used the brush from the polish.
