A Week in My Erin Condren: Feb. 29 – March 6

A Week in My Erin Condren Feb 229 March 6 logo

This week I’ve done something I’ve never done before: I used washi tape in a spread. In my Glam Plan on a Budget post, I suggested using washi tape in your weekly spread to add some color. But I was a hypocrite; I’ve never done that before. But while shopping with my mom last weekend I found the most beautiful roll of washi tape that worked perfectly with the March colors. I never thought that I would love the look, but I’ve fallen head-over-heels. Check out how I used it down below!

For the washi tape, I applied it to the top diamonds and the “thankful thought” box on the bottom. To get a clean line without scissors, I used a straight-edge ruler. I whited out the thankful thoughts text with a white out tape and put the washi on top.

What I like most about this theme is that everything matches. There is orange in the washi tape that matches with the monthly colors, but the green also matches with the Animal Crossing logo and planner from Sweet Kawaii Design. I also like how how the pattern adds a different feel to the spread. It feels more warm and homey, if that’s possible with a paper planner. The patterned look made me want to open my planner more since it was so gorgeous!

I even tried something new with my notes. I blocked off a space after my to-do list and put an inspirational quote. I chose this one from Hayley Williams because I sometimes need a reminder that people have highs and lows and that you learn what you can take in life from your lowest lows. And also because Hayley’s hair color matches my spread!

The weekend banner and large page flag is from Ladybugzdesignz. The asterisk labels, TV labels, laptop stickers (similar) and mini square dots are from Planner Kate.  The mail packages, customizable TV stickers, due stickers, Animal Crossing logo and coffee cups are from Abundance of Erica. The adorable time to plan sticker is from Sweet Kawaii Design. The emoji hamburger is from this set of emoji stickers.
