I, much like everyone else, saw Deadpool over the weekend. While Deadpool himself was hilarious, it was Negasonic Teenage Warhead that stole my heart. She’s everything I wanted to be in high school: intimidating, bald and can shoot fire. I was inspired by her makeup in the movie and decided to recreate it and hopefully I got the intimidation factor down. Want to create it yourself? Find out how below!

Negasonic Teenage Warhead Inspired Makeup closeupNegasonic Teenage Warhead had a very smokey brown eye that looks effortless. To recreate this, I put Makeup Geek Barcelona Beach in my crease to define the crease. Next I took MAC Satin Taupe on a MAC 217 brush and lightly swept that over my lid and took whatever was left and swept that into the crease. I then took the same brush and swept that onto my lower lash line, avoiding the inner corners and trying not to let the upper lid color and lower lash line color to meet.

For eyeliner, I took Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon and smudged that along my upper and lower lash line, avoiding them from touching. You want to focus the lower eyeliner on the middle of the eye and not drag it to the outer corner of the eye. Smudge that out lightly, but keep the integrity and sharpness of the line. Apply mascara (I used Too Faced Better Than Sex) and the eye look is complete! Optional: add a sparkling white to the inner corner of the eye to add some brightness to the eye.

Although Negasonic Teenage Warhead wears her lipstick more smudgy, I felt more comfortable wearing my lipstick with a sharp line. I primed my lips with ColourPop Lippie Stix Primer. With a lip brush, I then picked up some of ColourPop Lippie Stix in Feminist and started to apply the lipstick. If you want the smudgy look, don’t apply it with a lip brush and just pat the color on with a finger. I then filled in the remaining space using the bullet of the lipstick.

I usually fill in my eyebrows defined, but for this look I highly recommend it. With such a dark eye and lip it is necessary to have a defined brow. If you have a brow pencil, I would use it to define the eyebrows for this look. If you only have powder, make sure to outline the brows crisply or clean up with a Q-Tip afterwards.

For blush, I applied Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush Ombre in In a Purple Haze. Use a pink-toned blush for the cheeks. Negasonic Teenage Warhead wore her blush a little lower on the apples of the cheek. It also looked like she has a highlight going on (probably the sweat from beating up so many bad guys,) so I used MAC Lightscapade to add some glow.

Are you going to recreate this look? Let me know down below!
