15 Minute Library Makeup

This week has been spent studying for finals and writing up those last minute papers. Makeup isn’t the first thing on my mind in the morning but I still want to look like I have my life together. I came up with this library-appropriate look that only took me 15 minutes.

Since I’m drinking a ton of tea and not getting much sleep, I wanted to focus on perfecting my tired and dry skin. After using a long-wear primer, I applied Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation with a Sigma F80 buffer brush. This foundation helps combat shine but looks natural and blurs imperfections. I used the Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer under my eyes to cover my dark circles and on any blemishes. I like to use cream products when focussing on a flawless, natural base, so I used a cream blush and a gel highlighter.

For my eyes, I wanted simplicity. I smudged Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Corrupt, a sparkling brown eyeliner, along my lash line. It’s barely noticeable but it adds definition to my large eyes. Smudge out multiple thin coats to get eyeliner that has depth. I then applied one thin coat of mascara to my top and and bottom lashes. For my eyebrows, I lightly filled in any bald spots and set them in place with clear brow gel.

My face needed some color, so I applied Maybelline Color Whisper in 65 Pink Possibilities. These have been discontinued, but they are worth tracking down. They are moisturizing and leave the lightest hint of color on the lips. They also have a slight staining effect which is great when it all gets rubbed off my on my tea cup.

I used a lot of Maybelline in this look, but they are a drugstore brand that I gravitate towards for the variety of products. They have full-coverage foundations and dark lipsticks for when I’m feeling glam, but they also have super natural looking mascara and lip balms for when I want a natural look.

What do you wear when you go to the library? Is this too much makeup or just enough? Let me know down below!
